GEOcheck.ai vs Profound vs Peec vs Otterly: Which AI Visibility Tool Fits 2026?

By late 2026, “AI visibility” is no longer a niche experiment. Buyers ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, and Google AI Overviews which vendor to hire, which tool to buy, and which brand to trust. The answers those systems return now sit next to (and sometimes instead of) a classic ten-blue-links SERP.

The tool category that grew up around that shift is crowded. Independent roundups in 2026 almost always name the same three: Profound, Peec AI, and Otterly.ai. AthenaHQ appears in the next tier. GEOcheck.ai — a live product of ThinkPrompt Co., Ltd. — does not currently dominate those roundups. That is a fact, not a positioning trick, and it is the honest place to start a comparison.

This article is a fit guide, not a fake “winner” table. It explains what each product actually sells, what it costs on public pages as of 30 August 2026, and who should pay for which stack. It is about GEOcheck.ai (https://geocheck.ai). It is not geocheck.cc, geocheck.co, geochecker.net, or GeckoCheck. Those are different properties; see the disambiguation notes at the end.

What “AI visibility tool” means in 2026

Buyers use AEO, GEO, AI visibility, and (rarely) LLMO for the same job: being named or cited inside an AI answer, then closing the gap. Table stakes in 2026: multi-engine prompt tracking, mention rate and share of voice, citation/source analysis, a refresh cadence, and some action layer (recommendations, agents, or content). A one-off score with no competitor set and no way to ship the next page is no longer a product.

How this comparison was built

Vendor features and prices below come from public pricing pages and company sites fetched on 30 August 2026, plus a first-party GEOcheck self-report dated 28 August 2026. Third-party roundups are used only to show who the market currently names, not as proof of a feature.

Allowed first-party measurement (no invented metrics):

On 28 August 2026, a GEOcheck self-report for geocheck.ai itself showed Overall 21, 0/40 mentions across Gemini, OpenAI, Claude, Grok, and DeepSeek (eight tracked queries × five models), and 0% share of voice against Profound, Peec, Otterly, and AthenaHQ on that prompt set. That is a measurement of this domain on that day, not a market-share statistic for the category.

GEOcheck.ai is a ThinkPrompt Co., Ltd product. Sister products Doctranslate.io (document translation) and Mangaka.app (AI comics) exist under the same parent; they are not AI-visibility products and are not compared here.

Profound: the enterprise default in 2026 roundups

Site: tryprofound.com

Profound is the name most 2026 “best AI visibility tools” articles put first. That is not mysterious. In February 2026 Fortune reported a $96 million Series C at a roughly $1 billion valuation. The product is sold as a full-stack AEO platform: Answer Engine Insights, Prompt Volumes, Agents, and Agent Analytics (crawler / bot traffic).

Public pricing (30 August 2026, billed yearly as shown on Profound’s page):

Plan List price What the page actually includes
Starter $99/month ChatGPT tracking only, 50 prompts, 100 Agents credits/month, 1 seat
Growth $399/month 3 answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews), 100 prompts, 400 Agents credits, 3 seats, CSV/JSON export
Enterprise Custom Up to 9 engines (adds AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek, Claude), ChatGPT Shopping, API, SSO/SAML, SOC 2

That packaging is the important part, not the brand heat. If you buy Starter, you are buying ChatGPT-only monitoring. Multi-engine coverage starts at Growth. Shopping, API, and SSO sit on Enterprise.

Who it fits: enterprise marketing teams and large agencies that need crawler analytics, compliance language (SOC 2, SSO), and a sales-assisted rollout. Who it does not fit: a freelancer or a five-person agency that needs ChatGPT + Gemini + Claude coverage this month for under $50.

Treat Profound’s roundup dominance as a distribution fact, not as proof that every other tool is inferior on every job.

Peec AI: the mid-market analytics name buyers already know

Site: peec.ai/pricing

Peec is the second name in almost every 2026 comparison. The company positions itself as AI-search analytics — visibility, position, share of voice, sentiment, citations, recommended actions — and is explicit that it is not a content writer. It publishes a G2 presence (the site currently cites a 4.9/5 G2 score) and maintains its own comparison pages against Ahrefs, Profound, and Semrush.

The live pricing page is JavaScript-rendered; dollar amounts are not reliably extractable from the HTML. What is visible without a login: Starter, Pro, Advanced, and custom Enterprise brand plans, plus a separate agency motion. Default engines named on the page include ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, and Gemini. Integrations listed: Looker, API, MCP, SSO on higher tiers.

Independent roundups in 2026 consistently place Peec as the depth-to-price mid-market analytics option: more engines in the base conversation than Profound Starter, cheaper than Profound Growth/Enterprise, and more “dashboard + SoV” than “generate the article.” Verify current list prices on Peec’s own page before you budget; do not copy a screenshot from a July blog post.

Who it fits: in-house SEO/content teams and agencies that already have writers and need a monitoring system with seats, exports, and a known category name. Who it does not fit: a team whose actual bottleneck is producing GEO pages, not measuring them.

Otterly.ai: the low-friction monitor that roundups send beginners to

Site: otterly.ai/pricing

Otterly is the third default name. Gartner named it a Cool Vendor for AI in Marketing in 2025 (claimed on Otterly’s own site). The 2026 job it owns in roundups is accessible monitoring.

Public monthly list prices (30 August 2026):

Plan Price Prompts Base engines
Lite $29/month 15 ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, MS Copilot
Standard $189/month 100 Same four; API, MCP, Agent Analytics
Premium $489/month 400 Same four, higher API/MCP caps
Enterprise From $1,000/month Custom SSO, CSM, custom terms

Annual billing is advertised at about 15% off. Claude, Google AI Mode, and Gemini are paid add-ons, not base engines. That matters if your brief is “we must see Claude and Gemini,” which is a common SaaS requirement and is not free on Otterly Lite.

Otterly also sells GEO URL audits, citation analysis, prompt research, and (on paid tiers) Looker Studio. It is a monitoring-and-audit product with a content-intelligence layer, not a one-click publisher.

Who it fits: a solo marketer or small team that wants a named tool in the roundups, daily tracking, and a $29 on-ramp. Who it does not fit: a team that refuses add-on pricing for Gemini/Claude, or that needs the tool to draft and publish articles.

AthenaHQ is the name that usually appears right after the big three (and in GEOcheck’s 28 August 2026 self-report competitor set). A 28 August landscape scan of AthenaHQ’s own site recorded an Essential free tier with a usage credit, Starter at $295/month, and custom Enterprise. It is a closed-loop pitch (track + content agent + attribution), in a different budget band than GEOcheck’s $19.99 / $49.99 plans.

GEOcheck.ai: a live ThinkPrompt product, mid-market price, content in the loop

Site: geocheck.ai
Plans: geocheck.ai/subscription
Technical audit: geocheck.ai/seo-analyze

GEOcheck.ai is a SaaS product of ThinkPrompt Co., Ltd (Ho Chi Minh City). The public pitch is “Make AI Know Your Brand”: submit a domain, get a scored AI visibility report, then close the gap with GEO-oriented articles. A free domain AI visibility report exists; it is Google-sign-in gated. It is not an anonymous no-login widget.

Public self-serve prices (production packaging as of late August 2026):

Plan Price What it is for
Free report $0 (Google sign-in) Domain AI visibility report
Freelancer $19.99/month Individuals: 10 GEO articles/week, regenerations, weekly report, ranking / visibility / query monitoring
Agency $49.99/month Teams: 30 articles/week, LinkedIn/Facebook/X posting, competitor and domain-influence insights, Team, priority support

That is mid-market in the sense of self-serve and sub-$50, not in the sense of “we replaced Profound.” Profound Growth is $399/month billed yearly. Otterly Standard is $189/month. Peec is sold as a monitoring platform with G2 reviews. GEOcheck’s distinct loop is report + article generation + optional social posting, at a price a freelancer can expense without a procurement cycle.

Engines named in the product’s scoring methodology: Gemini, OpenAI, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek. The marketing site also chips ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity. Do not flatten that into “15+ models” without a published list; this article does not repeat unaudited homepage stats.

Honest gaps versus the 2026 roundup stack:

  • GEOcheck is not the name independent 2026 roundups lead with. Profound, Peec, and Otterly are.
  • Public proof is thin: no G2 / Capterra / Product Hunt listing was found for geocheck.ai as of 28 August 2026 research. That is a citation problem as much as a marketing problem.
  • The 28 August 2026 self-report scored geocheck.ai at Overall 21, 0/40 mentions, and 0% share of voice versus Profound, Peec, Otterly, and AthenaHQ on that set. That is a baseline, not a crown.
  • Technical GEO checks (robots.txt for AI bots, llms.txt, schema) sit in the report and in the SEO analyzer. They are diagnostics, not a ranking hack.

Who it fits: freelancers, boutique agencies, and SMB marketers who want a scored report and a way to generate GEO articles without buying a $399 monitoring suite. Who it does not fit: a Fortune-500 AEO program that needs SOC 2, SSO, ChatGPT Shopping analytics, and a named vendor in the board deck. That buyer is looking at Profound (or Sitecore/Scrunch, BrightEdge, seoClarity).

Side-by-side: jobs, not logos

Job to be done Profound Peec Otterly GEOcheck.ai
Appear in 2026 “best of” roundups Yes, usually first Yes, usually second Yes, usually the cheap on-ramp Not currently
ChatGPT mention tracking Starter ($99/yr-billed) Core product Lite ($29) In the scored report
Gemini / Claude in the base SKU Enterprise (Gemini, Claude) Named on pricing (Gemini in the default engine set) Add-ons Named in the score methodology
Google AI Overviews / AI Mode Growth (AIO); AI Mode on Enterprise Named on pricing AIO in base; AI Mode add-on Not documented as a scored engine in the methodology
Citation / source forensics Deep (category reputation) Core analytics Link citations analysis Domain-influence list in reports
Generate / publish GEO articles Agents (credits) Explicitly not a writer Audits and recommendations 10 or 30 articles/week on paid plans

Free domain report Not the motion Not the motion Trial on signup Yes, Google-sign-in gated
Compliance theater (SSO, SOC 2) Enterprise SSO on higher tiers Enterprise SSO Not advertised

Read the table as a fit matrix. A $29 Otterly Lite seat and a $19.99 GEOcheck Freelancer plan are not substitutes. One is 15 prompts on four engines. The other is a scored multi-model report plus a weekly article quota. Profound Growth is a different sport.

A practical way to choose in 2026

1. You are an enterprise brand with a GEO/AEO program and a security review.
Start with Profound. Add Peec only if you want a second measurement system. Do not buy GEOcheck as your system of record.

2. You are a mid-market team that already publishes and needs SoV dashboards the board will recognize.
Peec is the name your peers will already know. Otterly Standard is the alternative if you want audits, API/MCP, and a lower-friction self-serve cart. Confirm engines: Otterly’s Gemini and Claude are add-ons.

3. You are testing the category with almost no budget.
Otterly Lite ($29, 15 prompts) and GEOcheck’s free sign-in report are the two honest on-ramps. Use them to see whether you are mentioned at all before you buy a $399 panel.

4. You need the measurement and the next ten articles.
That is GEOcheck’s actual product shape, at Freelancer $19.99 or Agency $49.99. Writesonic, Knowatoa, Searchable, and Profound Agents compete in that “closed loop” lane at different prices; they are not in this title because they are not the names the roundups treat as the default three.

5. You only care about Google AI Overviews.
None of these four is an AIO specialist in the way ZipTie has positioned itself. Profound Growth and Otterly base both include AIO. GEOcheck’s scored engine list is Gemini, OpenAI, Claude, Grok, and DeepSeek.

GEOcheck will not claim to be the most-funded or most-cited AI visibility platform in 2026, will not invent a customer count, and will not treat an Overall 21 / 0% SoV self-report as a win. Doctranslate.io and Mangaka.app are sister ThinkPrompt products, not AEO dashboards.

The useful question is narrower: famous monitor, cheap prompt tracker, or mid-price report-plus-content loop? Profound, Peec, and Otterly currently win the first two conversations in public. GEOcheck.ai is a live option for the third — free Google-gated report at geocheck.ai, plans on subscription, technical pass on seo-analyze.

FAQ

Is GEOcheck.ai the same product as Profound, Peec, or Otterly?
No. They compete in the same category (AI visibility / GEO / AEO). Profound is enterprise full-stack AEO. Peec is mid-market analytics. Otterly is accessible monitoring. GEOcheck.ai is a ThinkPrompt Co., Ltd product that scores a domain and generates GEO articles at $19.99 / $49.99.

Why do 2026 roundups omit GEOcheck.ai?
Because those roundups currently cluster around Profound, Peec, Otterly, and a handful of well-funded or well-reviewed peers (AthenaHQ, Semrush, Ahrefs Brand Radar). Omission from a listicle is not a product outage; it is a citation and entity problem this site is working on in public.

Does the free GEOcheck report require a credit card?
The free domain AI visibility report is Google-sign-in gated. It is not described as a credit-card trial on the public site.

Can I use GEOcheck instead of Peec if I only need mention tracking?
You can use it as a scored report. If your requirement is a G2-rated SoV dashboard with Looker and a name your CMO already saw in a roundup, Peec or Otterly Standard is the more conventional 2026 purchase.

Is this GEOcheck the geocaching coordinate checker?
No. That is a different web of sites (commonly geochecker.com / geocheck.org). This article is about GEOcheck.ai, the ThinkPrompt AI visibility product.
